The cool things I'm experiencing this year! We were fishing near a beaver lodge this weekend. There were tonnes of perch around and I'd never caught them before. It was nice and peaceful, and neat to watch the fish come after your hook. Anyway, while we were next to the lodge we could hear noises inside. If you listen to this video, with the volume turned up, you can hear scratching noises, and a noise that sounds like a little baby. It's the beaver family: momma, dad and baby, in their house!! It was really amazing to experience. Once the beaver came out and patrolled the area, we left. Figured they wanted us to go. 20 minutes later we drove by and saw the family out on their home, chewing on some sticks. Nature is so amazing when you can experience if first hand like that.
