Dan did SUCH a good job on the shed. The camoflauge he put on it makes it blend in really nicely. And all our stuff fits in it: water toys, Kassidy's toys, chairs, cookers, tools, etc, and it gets locked up so no one can steal anything when we aren't there.
The lady who guards the entrance to Hope Lake has a pet groundhog! I'd never seen one before up close and personal. It was really cute. Kassidy got to feed it a carrot. It was a mamma and from the looks of things she just had some little babies or they were soon to be born. I'll get some pictures of her next time.
Kassidy and I went for a little walk and words can't express how peaceful and wonderful it felt being there. We walked on the beautiful white groomed sand, hunted for 'sea shells', lay down on the dock looking for baby fish (which we saw lots of!), and stopped to pick dandilions. :)
The only down thing I can say about the weekend was due to human error. Before positioning a camper....make sure all the sky lights are closed. We totally wrecked one on a tree branch. DOH!
Next weekend we will be bringing a rake to clean up all the dead leaves.
Dan has plans to build Kassidy a sand box on our site (if the lady running the place is OK with it).
And yes, that is a shower you see in one of the photos! Dan rigged the motor home so that the shower runs outside as well as inside. We will be putting it off the back of the camper, on plastic pallets, and surrounded by tarps for privacy. Dan is so smart. :)
The mess, as everything is pulled out of the motor home:
