Dan's mom visited this weekend and she helped A LOT also. She helped Dan put up this shed and secure it to the ground. We still have to put the tarp on the sides. We didn't do it yet because it was too windy. The shed will house all the wood you see in the picture, plus a bunch of other stuff. It's at the back of the house so you can't see it from the road. The metal you see at the left side of the picture is a dog kennel that used to be where the shed is. We'll store it for now, because it doesn't hold our dog Brutus. We tried once, and he tore a hole right through it. That's what you get with a 120lb dog, full of muscle and determination!
What else did Grandma Kim do? She took all the green tape off my windows outside. What a job! It had baked on there from last summer. Man. That alone is more than enough work for one person. But she didn't stop there. After the shed was up and the tape was off, she asked Dan what else she could do....so she walked around the yard scooping up Brutus's poo from the winter. It was a much bigger job than one person could do in an hour or two, but just the area she did get yeilded a whole lot of poo.
We even bought a tub and tap for our bathroom this weekend. Rona's scratch and win weekend. We have the tile picked out for the tub surround. Now we need to invite my brother over to help us figure out how much of the tile we need to buy and what else we need to get that room done.
What a good feeling to get all this stuff done! Now I'm more motivated to get my curtains done. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, right. Like they'll ever get done. : )
And again, a blog isn't complete without a picture of my sweet pea. Here she is at our new mom's group last Thursday:

It feels good to get stuff done, hey? I know I say this all the time, but Kassidy is just so adorable. Her beautiful face makes me smile every time I see her!
